Finalizing Review of first printed book in Florida

I embarked on a year-long Memoir Project with my sister-in-law Cheryl Batavia and my mother, Renee Batavia. In doing so, I  served as publisher and a co-author with Drew on his unfinished memoirs: Wisdom from a Chair: Thirty Years of Quadriplegia, The Memoirs of Andrew I Batavia (our fifth and final publication together – the irony still befuddles).

The memoirs, with forewords by Former US Attorney General and Former Governor of Pennsylvania Dick Thornburgh and Senator John McCain of Arizona, describes the remarkable life of Drew Batavia, an international disability activist and scholar with high level quadriplegia and starkly illustrates how modest, inexpensive accommodations at work can lead to massive and historic output in America.

The project is on-target for publication later this month, falling well- within the ADA’s 25th Anniversary year.
